When we found this place we knew it was special. It was the perfect location for our little farm. Over the decades, nutrients have run down to the bottom land from the hardwoods that surround the pasture from above. From below, the creek has risen time to time depositing sediment making the topsoil a great place to plant our crops. Our goal is to be good stewards of this beautiful land. As we feed the soil further, this does include minimally invasive practices and implementing only organic inputs and maybe even some Electroculture and lunar cycle planting. Since we are working the land for the first time in decades, some turning of the original pasture is necessary for now as we build our seed beds but we will strive to do minimal tilling or no till as we improve the soil year after year. Our flowers and produce will be used for our onsite classes and special events in the barn and also available for purchase at our produce stand and farmer’s markets.
